Edmond Tsang, Cantopop writer, arranger, and producer, has extensive experience in various kinds of music composition and production. He has worked with Hong Kong artists such as Hins Cheung, Charmaine Fong, Denise Ho, Andy Lau, Hacken Lee, and Joey Yung. His awards include the RTHK Top Ten Chinese Gold Songs Award, the Commercial Radio Ultimate Song Chart Award, the TVB Jade Solid Gold Best 10 Award, the Metro Radio Hit Award, the IFPI Hong Kong Digital Music Award, and the Yahoo Asia BUZZ Award.
After graduating from the University of Hong Kong with a B.A. in History and Music (Double Major) and an MPhil in Music, Tsang attained his PhD in History from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He published a monograph on the development of the two earliest political parties in Hong Kong, which was selected by the Commercial Press as one of the “Books of 2019”.
Tsang is an owner of a music studio and a publishing company. He has served as a panel member of the RTHK Top Ten Chinese Gold Songs Award, the CASH Golden Sail Music Award, the MusicLiveValley Music Award, and the TVB Stars Academy. He is also a mentor of the Chapter Ten Mentorship Programme organized by the Sir Edward Youde Scholars Association, and an advisor of Music Hotpot.
