HKBU Alumnus Adrian Sit Won the 1st International Conductors' Competition Augsburg

Congratulations to our alumnus Adrian Sit on his winning of the 1st International Conductors' Competition Augsburg! The competition was held from 2nd to 7th July. Among other 48 contestants from all over the world, Adrian is the only Asian contestant who made it to the final round after three rounds of elimination. The jurors of the final round are Atso Almila (Professor of symphonic orchestra conducting at the Sibelius Academy, Helsinki), Domonkos Heja (General Music Director, Augsburger Philharmoniker) and Lt. Col. Christoph Scheibling (Head of Band of the Bundeswehr). Adrian graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Music degree in 2014. During his study at the University, he was the student conductor for the University's Percussion Ensemble and Brass Ensemble and also a Horn player for the University's Symphony Orchestra. He is now studying Master of Music in Conducting at Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
